Anyone else having one of those days?

It's the bloody weekend and yet I am worn out. Am always either at work or catching up with never ending chores or ferrying kids about. I am normally very organised but a houseful of people getting sick/injured/tired/shifts changing is knackering me out. I need a magic wand, lottery win or some sort of Freaky Friday swap so I can be one of my teenagers instead. They used to all be so good at pulling their weight and suddenly everything seems to have turned me into default parent doing all the fecking thinking and worrying for everyone whilst the rest of the family (a) have a nap (b) play Fifa (c) watch Netflix.Sad

AND it's cold and wet and will be dark before we know it and then its bastarding Monday again.

AND payday is too far away.

Flowers

Hold a family meeting (unplug the router first if necessary, to get their undivided attention,) and tell them how you feel. Just say that you are going on strike and from now on they either chip in or it doesn't get done. If they can operate electronic devices they can operate domestic appliances.

Thanks but I don't think I should as they aren't really doing anything 'wrong', one has sports injury, one recovering from a bug, DH working shitty hours. I am just feeling sorry for myself because I have so much to do... same story at work because of colleague off sick... I just wish I could catch a break. And I know a lot of people have it so much worse. But still, woe is me.
