I'm looking for a go to cookbook, so can you all tell me what your go to cookbooks are? Ideally a family one! Thanks

On the basis of this thread I have borrowed ministry of food from the library (realised have already got some of the recipes from the website) and nosh for busy mums and dads. If like me you struggle to multitask then the nosh book is great. Tells you when to put the potatoes and veg on as well as how to cook the main. And there are weekly plans with shopping lists! Ingredients are simple and not hard to find which I really like. You can get everything in lidl.

My godmother bought me ‘Step by Step Cookery’ by Marguerite Patten - yes I am that old but it’s been well used over the years and taught me the basics that my mother didn’t acknowledge.

Nigella and Nigel slaters books are so beautifully written.
I use them all the time
