How do you store Lego??

I have some tool boxes to store the Lego pieces so that they’re easy to find. But my kids are increasingly building sets and wanting to keep them built. I don’t know how or where to keep them though. If they go in their rooms then we just end up with them broken and small pieces lost. What do you and your kids do? Any ideas gratefully received!!

In a big wooden chest. People are in a separate box, as are wheels. Made sets are on a window sill but do get broken by accident so very precious sets are on a shelf displayed.

With great difficulty! This Christmas we bought these bags from Amazon which did help in keeping all the unbuilt pieces but still we have the built sets dotted around the house just waiting to be smashed! (Sorry i dont know how to make the link shorter...)

What about an Ikea Kallax unit with the addition shelves that fit half way up the cubes for display? You could also use baskets in some Of the cubes for general Lego.

Literally everywhere windowsills, and shelves.
Doesn't help that I have a few sets too. We also have a strip of the tape on a wall so if I find a piece it goes on there for easy location.

Mostly scattered on the carpet, with essential pieces lost under heavy furniture.

Gave up, whole house now devoted to Lego. There are worse ways to live...

We have some large lego shaped boxes which store lego! Lego in lego, as it were. If the work of art is built it usually stays on a shelf until the lego fairy dismantles it and replaces it in the boxes.

big 'really useful' stackable boxes.
we have a big one and lots of small ones for all the figures and small parts plus other big ones to store the favourite built sets.

I’m glad to see I’m not alone in this problem!
