Thrush & Smear test

Hi ladies, I pretty sure I have Thrush 🥺 I have my smear booked in for Wednesday. I'm going to buy some canesten tomorrow. I was wondering will this effect my smear test?

I know thrush can get detected by a smear test but unsure of whether it would affect your results, my feelings are leaning towards yes. Best bet is to contact your gp or whoever is doing it. If it’s bad I would really want to reschedule anyways.
