Terrible Tesco Online - Who else to try?

Coming to the end of my 6 month delivery saver plan with Tesco and have had nothing but problems.

Lots of short dates (never flagged no the receipt), unsuitable subs (full fat coke when I ordered Diet Pepsi), variable fruit and veg, and even a couple of out of date items. Yoghurts 3 days out of date has been the final straw today! It's coming from a local store and their processes are obviously terrible.

I have a bad back so really struggle pushing a full trolley. Can anyone recommend an alternative supermarket to try, ideally where they are delivering from a fulfilment centre. Know it does depend on area though!

We went through a phase where salmon fillets were constantly arriving with 1-2 days when it should have 4. It happened every week for around 8 weeks, and every week I would phone and they'd give me a refund. Even had the store manager phone to apologise once. We either ate it early or ddog got it. They eventually sorted it out and no more free salmon!!!!

Ocado are really good and I have used them for years. However, I wil be switching to Waitrose later this year when Ocado stop delivering them and switch to M&S.

We used Tesco for years. Tried Asda for 6 months to see if it was any cheaper. It was slightly cheaper but we've now gone back to Tesco. Asda always had items unavailable, we had a minimum of five substitutions on every shop, they didn't deliver later than 8pm and the own branded stuff was generally not as good as Tesco's. I've found Tesco delivery drivers more friendly too. The only plus to Asda was that we got updates of a more accurate ETA on the day which was narrowed down to a 30 min window in the 2 hour slot that we booked.

I've used Asda and Tesco without major problems. When I've used Sainsbury's I've found they make really bizarre substitutions. Never used Ocado / Waitrose / Morrison's.

Had ocado for years. Just swapped too morrisons as dont want the M&s processed carp they are about to offer.

same depot- much cheaper. 100% reliable so far.

I've sang ocado praises on here for years, then my Christmas shop arrived.
Driver ignored all delivery notes, caused a huge amount of damage to my garden and was unapologetic to boot. I had to actually ask if ocado thought it might be nice to refund my delivery charge and it took a sink of an email to the CEO to get anyone to apologise.
I'm now dealing with their insurers and with the best will in the world it will take months to fix.

Ive had a weekly delivery for about seven years but I won't be renewing my smart pass. I was concerned about the M&S tie in anyway but the handling of all this made the decision easier. I can't help feeling the ocado of five years ago would have handled things much much better.

By coincidence I had a £20 off voucher for sainsbury yesterday and ive not tried waitrose directly so will have a look for that offer. I did do a small click and collect at my local Tesco which is almost next door and that was ok as well So there are a few options.
