I found out last evening that Neil Peart of Rush passed away on January 7 of an aggressive form of brain cancer. The news hit yesterday. Terribly sad 
My family and I were lucky enough to see Rush in New Jersey in June 2015, for what turned out to be their last concert tour. It was packed – the first time I ever had to stand in line and wait for a stall in the ladies room at a Rush concert.
He was a very talented man and – because I never had the pleasure of meeting him – by all accounts, a very nice man. Clearly humble, as he appeared to shun the limelight and even wrote a song about it.
I feel blessed to have witnessed a legend at work six times over the years. RIP, Mr. Peart
