Film for 8th birthday party

Any ideas what film I can put on at DD2s 8th birthday sleepover party? She likes scary films like goosebumps and Harry Potter but I don’t want anyone to have nightmares so I’m looking for something funny or exciting but not scary or babyish. Definitely nothing girly or princessy.
I’ll check with all the other parents before we make a choice but I’m struggling to find something she hasn’t seen.

I wouldn't be showing Gremlins ate a sleepover - bound to be some kids who it terrifies.

Johnny English or Mr Bean

Personally I would go very bland and very safe, so I agree with the likes of Mr Bean,

Matilda? My 8 year old would watch this every day if I let her Grin

The newer Jumanji is great.

Teen Titans Go To The Movies

Second the suggestion of Wreck It Ralph.

How To Train Your Dragon
Lego Movie

I think with this age group you need to play it VERY safe. Even if parents and children say they are ok to watch a mildly scary film, once the child is sleeping away from home they can get upset and homesick.

Zootropolis
Lego movie

Secret Life of Pets?

LER83 · 15/01/2020 16:42

Personally I would play it very safe. My dd loves Descendants, High School Musical, A Cinderella Story etc. The Disney Life app has some good films on.

The Goonies
