My anxiety is sky high and has been since yesterday. I got a couple of hours sleep yesterday and expecting to get the same tonight if I'm lucky. Anyone around to keep me company as dh needs to get some sleep.

Hey I'm here Flowers, I also suffer with anxiety, both health and general.

Anything in particular causing your anxiety?

Timetogiveupnow · 10/01/2020 22:22

Work, I'm up shit creek with no panel and completely dreading Monday.

What’s up? Did you get out today? Fresh air will help with sleep. Exercise, warm bath etc. Bit late today. But tomorrow is a brand new day!

What happened at work?

Choice4567 · 10/01/2020 22:23

I'm here for the moment and also suffer with anxiety. Are you on medication? Do you have anything that could help you right now, such as grounding techniques or listening to an audio book to try and help you sleep?

Timetogiveupnow · 10/01/2020 22:34

I made a mistake I don't know how to correct and have no support and it's going to get picked up and cause issues.
I'm doing my normal sleep routine but feel far to wired. Like I'm at 150% alertness.

Can you get to a 24 hr pharmacy and get some nytol to help? I really feel for you, I have crazy work anxiety tonight as well. Know that you aren’t alone

I'm here. Anxiety can be a bugger, I agree. Does camomile tea help you? Such a cliché but I often find it calming.

splattt · 10/01/2020 22:49

Can you give someone a heads up that you've messed up?

Timetogiveupnow · 10/01/2020 22:52

I've told work and asked for help, been told just to sort it.
I've had a cocodemol as that used to make me sleep, got lavender on my pillow and a hot water bottle,

I like lavender, too.

FesteredFairy · 10/01/2020 23:30

What did you do, was it a genuine mistake, what are the consequences, what do you need to do to rectify the matter?
Get a pen and paper, write it all down, one line per item.
Read through once to make sure you haven't missed anything.
Have a wee, then go to sleep.

Timetogiveupnow · 10/01/2020 23:32

I literally don't know how to fix the error, it's going to take a multi department team to solve and detailed system knowledge.

Feel for you.
You are only human.
You made a mistake. You did not do it on purpose. You have done the right thing asking for help. You need to ask again, as you can’t solve this alone - that is not your fault.
There is nothing that can be done now. You need to rest.
I recommend Headspace’s sleep meditation to help you at least wind down if not sleep.
Hope you feel better soon.

I've suffered from anxiety too. Looking back I massively blew issues out of proportion, including work related stuff that left me so stressed I couldn't sleep.
All I can say is that whatever has happened, it will pass. Life will go on.
Do some breathing exercises- count to 10 in and out. Think of your happiest place.
It IS just a job.
Some awful things have happened to my family this year and it does put life in perspective.
This will pass. Trust me Flowers
