Puppies and cat flaps

How do you stop a puppy getting out of the cat flap? Cat doesn’t have a litter tray and is used to just coming and going...

I remember the day my rotty was no longer able to fit through.
On youtube I saw a video of a ddog with a small stick attached to it's collar to prevent it's exit!!

Why do you want to stop it getting out? I have a dog flap for my 2 spaniels.

Just when she’s a little puppy....I’d be worried about her getting out unsupervised by mistake.
