I really miss Wish You Were Here, reminds me of being a kid and watching it with my dad.

Also miss chat shows like Open house with Gloria Hunniford, Oprah, Trisha and Kilroy.. Loved watching chat shows when I was a teenager Grin

ER, buffy, Star Trek (esp tng and voyager - although maybe the people I watched it with), firefly / serenity and xfiles.

Basically my pop culture is stuck in 25 years ago. When did I get old?

Good comedy programmes like The Fast Show and I would love to see another series of Knowing Me Knowing You On again, This Time with Alan Partridge didn't scratch the comedy itch sadly.

Ah, several of those gave me happy memories. Will add Howard's way, as mum let me stay up to watch it with her and .... what was the one with the James bondesque start on a sunday (?) night that was a lady dancing to funky late 70s music. Never allowed to stay up for that...

Somanysocks · 10/01/2020 23:29

Roger Roger, a comedy about a minicab company. It stopped in the middle of the series and I never found out why.

Oilnwater · 10/01/2020 23:33

Cider, are you thinking of Tales of the Unexpected? We used to dance along and then got packed off to bed (was under 10, though, so not too racy).

I strangely miss Bergerac - one of those nice cosy things. Also the theme to Top of the Pops, when I watch now, takes me right back to Thursday evenings with the prospect of the weekend looming.

Also Going Live, Rentaghost, The Onedin Line and Dallas.

Drinkciderfromalemon · 10/01/2020 23:56

AnnieAnt yes!!! That's it, thank you!! Have the theme tune in my head as I type. Soooooo exotic and totally not allowed to watch post intro!!

My Sunday evenings are just not the same without Top Gear - the proper one. Miss their Christmas specials as well.

Top of the Pops.

New Tricks with the original cast. One of the best long-running series ever.
