DS is eleven and a half. I’d be interested to hear other similar aged kids sleep. DS goes to high school after the summer holidays.

DS is just 11. He struggles to get to sleep before 9.30 but then I do have to drag him out of bed for school at about 8 so that’s still quite a lot of sleep.

DS is 10yo and autistic, his sleep is terrible and he averages around five hours a night at the moment.

Ds is 11 and from his new Fitbit I can see he gets around 9–10 hours a night.

She needs 9-10 hours to be happy, so her bedtime is 8.30 (allowing for a bit of slippage and settling down time) for a 6.30 wake up (11yo in Y7).

ChocolateCoins19 · 10/01/2020 19:32

At that age. 9.30 till 7/7.30
He's now nr 14 and is anything around 11 till 7

ChipInTheSugar · 10/01/2020 19:34

Usually asleep by 9.30 at the latest; alarm goes off 6.15/6.30.

Bedtime is helped by melatonin though otherwise there would be NO sleep EVER.

edgewater · 10/01/2020 19:47

Thanks. DS is 10 until about 7.15/30. I often feel like I am dragging him out of bed and he’d sleep longer.

My daughter is 11 she goes to bed at 9 reads for about 20/30 mins and is usually asleep by 9.45. She doesn’t need to get up until 8am.

camelsandcaramel · 11/01/2020 13:40

DS is 12 next month and goes to bed 8.30pm, lights out 9pm. He's up super early, 5.30am as the school bus is here by 6.15am. School hours are 7.15-2.40pm Confused

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 11/01/2020 13:41

Ds has just turned 12

He sleeps 9/930 - 630/7

He has never needed 12 hours sleep unless poorly and always goes to bed when tired he doesn’t ever fight sleep

End of school week often asleep by 8/830 especially since going to high school

KindnessCrusader · 11/01/2020 13:43

Bed by 9 and up at 7.30-I do have to wake her. She has a LOT of extracurricular activities that tire her out though! She's been a dream sleeper from the start. That fooled me because none of the next 3 were Grin

BearSoFair · 11/01/2020 13:50

I don't have an 11 year old but do have a 10yo and 12yo, they sleep approx 9-7:30 (DS2, 10) and 9:45-7:30 (DD, 12)

BikeRunSki · 11/01/2020 13:59

9pm ish (later on Fridays due to Scouts) to 7.15am ish on school days. He’s a real night owl and would happily go to bed at 11pm or later and sleep all morning if he could.
