Where on Earth do I find settings for FB messenger??

I want to turn off the irritating little bubble that pops up when I get a message but can't find where to do it

Is it on an iPhone? Settings, Notifications, Select Messenger, slide the dot to switch everything off.

It's on a Samsung Branster, but I will go and look again (again)...they can't be that different!

I've done it - I needed to be in apps/apps that can appear on top!
