Hi everyone. Seeking for some advice.

It all started last week when my son all in a while got cough and flu symptoms. We thought it as common cold and waited two days but he was getting high fever and situation seemed to be worst so we took him to A&e. They said it to be inflammation in one of his ears and gave him amoxicillin for 5 days.

The day i started giving him he started passing loose stools two times a days for first two days. Its his 5th and last day of antibiotic and from the 3rd day on i have changed millions of nappies and he is passing yellow kind of water. He’s also not eating properly. Trying to give him fluids but not much food. He’s not feeling well. Crying for no reason and is a bit lazy since this morning.
I’m thinking to see if his condition gets better today after finishing antiobiotic or should i take him to the hosp again.
What you guys suggest.

If you call your gp they might give you an appt over the phone or have some afternoon ones left (my gps has on the day or prebookable appts)

Have you checked to see if diarrhea is a side effect of the antibiotics? DS gets diarrhea when he has lots of medicine (eg, calpol, nurofen) because the artificial sweeteners dont seem to agree with him.
