Does anyone else get a headache every time they cry?

I don't cry that often apart from anything sad on the tv but today dds cat was diagnosed with leukaemia and I had to tell dd and it was awful. Anyway, I cried.

Now I have an absolutely terrible headache. I can barely move my head. I've taken pills and gine to bed, but I've just realised this happens every time I cry.

Does anyone else get this?

Sorry to hear about your cat Sad

Yes if I have a good sob and I feel tired I assume it’s tension

I think it's where you pull ugly faces .I get headaches if I cry a lot. I massage my face that helps .

londonmarathonhalfwaypoint · 08/01/2020 22:05

I do.

ActualHornist · 08/01/2020 23:02

Yes, but I am prone to migraines anyway, especially at times of great stress and upset.

Whoops75 · 08/01/2020 23:05

Me too.

I assumed it was tension, it’s awful.

Newyeardietstartstomorrow · 08/01/2020 23:07

Sorry about your cat. My dd always gets headaches when she gets wound up or upset.

Trewser · 08/01/2020 23:12

Do you think its a release of tension? I always get very snotty too (ugly crier!). Wonder if its sinus related. I can feel thst the headache is still there but its not painful. Good to know I'm not alone!

Thanks for the sympathy about the cat. She was dds best friend Sad
