My son has a little money to save and wants to put by some of his spending money every month also.

He has an account at the local building society which keeps some of his money and recently we got him some premium bonds for xmas.

Are there any ways for children to save money that's a bit more exciting (even if its in a parents name), anything on the stock market, simple, easy to understand for example.

He is really interested in technology, so any relatively risk free tech shares with a low entry point (say £300)?

Or anything else that's just a bit better than the usual mundane?

He is really into gaming, so I was thinking of buying some Games Workshop shares. Thing is, its been many years since I dabbled in the stock market so wouldnt have a clue now where to start.

If we go down this route, we wont be making many transactions so who is best to buy through? It would obviously have to be in my name.
