Anyone reccomend anything for teething, my lo is 4months and has two front teeth popping in!! He not taken his bottle and has had hardly any sleep.

The only thing I found that worked was anbesol liquid. Liquid gold that stuff! Any of the bonjela gels just didn't rub in and DD just licked it off straight away! Although check the age limit in case baby is still a bit young, not sure when you can use it from. Some people also swear by the powders but they did nothing for us.

Also one of those teethers fill of water that you put in the fridge to keep cool (don't put it in the freezer as it could burn baby's mouth).

It's rough cos they're in so much pain but it doesn't last forever.

My DD also used to get horrific acidic poos too when teething, which burned her skin, so stock up on metanium and nappy cream to act as a barrier.

Hope it passes soon!!

The good teething gels/liquids (like anbesol) are all kept behind the pharmacy counter these days, the version of bonjela you get in the supermarket is useless. So go the pharmacy and ask. Giving them something cool to chew on works ok, but we found anbesol and even Calpol a couple of times (that was more for the first molars) were the only thing that really worked when DC got miserable.

Yep, definitely echo the calpol when they're in agony!!
