Accredited Computer Science degrees

Does it matter if a Computer Science degree is accredited? DS currently applying through UCAS. He liked Liverpool Hope but course does not appear to be accredited. Would he be better to choose York, Aberystwyth or Loughborough instead (all of which offer accredited courses)?

Do you mean BCS accreditation? A lot of universities don’t bother as BCS is more of an industry thing and not all that relevant.

Tell him to pick a course he likes, and one that has good links to the kind of tech companies that he might want to work for.
