Is this strange bleeding?

Been taking Cerelle for around 2 years now. Very minimal bleeding whilst on it. A few weeks ago I started having a bit of vaginal blood only upon opening my bowels which I thought was odd. I mentioned it during a doctors appointment and they didn't seem concerned.

Sunday just gone I've started what seems like a period. One minute bright red, then rank brown, then nothing. Period pains and occasioal full ache in left side of stomach.

I'm trying not to worry but don't want to worry the doctor unnecessarily. Recently had full bloods and up to date with smears with no concerns on either.

Go to the Dr and ask to be examined/tested for ovarian cancer. It probably isn't anything sinister at all but don't ignore or delay or a copy being fobbed off

Ask for blood test ca125

Will they do that if I just ask them to? I'm scared now

Also the last few evenings I've been getting quite upset and emotional. Not normal for me.

I've had a hot bath tonight and just got in bed but feel really sick and light headed.

You could ring 111 and see what they advise.

I've just been to see the GP and she made me feel a bit stupid tbh. She looked inside and took an STI swab just in case but thinks it's just a normal period which can happen. I've had the 125 blood test 19th December which came back normal but she said bleeding would not be connected to ovaries?

OP, with those symptoms I'd be concerned about ectopic pregnancy, which can be very serious if untreated.

Have a look at the symptoms and seek medical help if necessary. Even with you being on the pill, it won't have a 100% sucess rate.

Could you have cysts on your ovary OP? I had a couple that had filled with blood and when they burst, it caused me to bleed a bit, they weren't a cause for concern. Don't let them fob you off though, better to be safe than sorry!
