Just that really. I'm a single parent of 3, and have no provision for myself or God forbid, my children if one of them were to pass. I'm seeing more and more people that I know die just recently, old age, some younger with poor health and really am worried about it. It seems like Go Fund Me is really popular, so I imagine many people are in the same situation as I've had a few shared on my Facebook newsfeed but this is NOT something I would ever want to do. Can anyone offer any practical advice?

Insurance would be the obvious answer. It doesn’t need to cost more that a few quid a month

Life insurance?

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 07/01/2020 19:44

Life insurance. I pay £12 a month for £250000 cover.

I used Polly.com to find the right policy for me and they were really good actually. Very thorough and explained everything well. My policy is with Legal & General.

Mil and my mum have both prepaid their funerals.speak a local undertaker.

have a look at beagle street life insurance. they pay out when you die which will cover the cost of the funeral, and it seems to be cheaper than paying for funeral arrangements each month. all the best x

Really helpful, thanks all. I think the anxiety around it made me think it would be an ordeal to sort out but a couple of your suggestions have led me to what I need with not too much fuss 😊
