I've only ever been to MK train station but I am taking a trip with DH on my birthday in a couple of weeks to the Art Gallery to see the Stubbs Exhibition (has anyone been is it worth it?)

Is there anywhere people would recommend for lunch after? Nothing to fancy as it would be wasted on DH but nice upmarket type pub kind of thing?

We were impressed by the gallery when it opened but not been to see the Stubbs. If you follow them on Instagram I think they showed some of the set up of the exhibition.

Are you in the car? If so there are loads of places just out of the centre we can suggest.

Right next to the gallery there are tons of restaurants (someone kindly linked above!), only chain ones though really... you'd have to drive out of the centre for something a bit different, but in my end of MK theres nothing worth the extra driving for!

Came back again to say we love Fourth & Fifth for brunchy lunch and coffee, and they also have Bogota coffee shop.

NOT the fancy restaurant at the stadium - Michele roux jnr it might be. They have good offers but it was appalling when we went.

Anatolia Turkish restaurant in stony stratford high street. Stony has plenty of parking and is a very quaint old town 10 to 15 minutes drive from city centre. Nice independent shops, coffee shops, Indian, thai and Italian also plus really olde worlde pubs.

If you fancy a scenic drive, the black horse in Woburn is nice
