Tesco Pregnancy test - lost instructions!

Hi all,

Decided to do a pregnancy test this morning that I had in the cupboard from Tesco but threw away the instructions 😩 not sure how to post a pic but there’s a dark line in the circle box with another faint line, then in the control box is a line too. I’ve just tried looking for instructions online and saw that they have very bad reviews for giving false positives. Had AF about 3.5 weeks ago & had period like pains recently so not sure! Very worried hope someone can help 😪

My advice is Chuck it in the bin. They're renowned for false positives. Wait for your period to be late and test again with a pink dye test

Normally they’re not too hard to figure out. There will be a strong line in the big window, and a matching strong line in the control now. Then, in the big window, there will either be a second line (sometimes faint) or there won’t.

Can you post a pic?

Pink dye tests are FAR better anyway, wait until your period is late and use an FRER test

Sarahjsddd · 07/01/2020 12:08

Okay thank you I can’t get to the shop for a few hours to buy another, I’ll get a pink dye one

Got four false positives on the Tesco tests recently so I recommend using a different brand.

Thank you very much for the responses

How can the Tesco ones give out false positives?! Why aren't they recalling the product?

pooopypants · 07/01/2020 23:41

4 false positives seems like an awful lot. Sounds to me that a chemical pregnancy is more likely?

Hi all I downloaded the app so I can now post a picture. I still haven't had AF but am having symptoms but I breastfeeding so may be affecting it. Going to wait a few more days before I do a pink dye test but still worried about this 😥

sarahjsdddd · 09/01/2020 12:08

Ah, just read you can't post photos until you've been a member for 28 days, sorry
