Mt Snowdon - Rangers Path

hi
I did Snowdon a couple of years back using the Llanberis Path and am interested in having another go but taking one of the other routes.
problem is I have severe height fear. We did Catbells in the Lakes recently and the scramble part nearly beat me I did do it but was terrified. So on that basis I've ruled out Miners Path on Snowdon because of the climb/scramble. I don't know about Pyg Track
I found llanberis path ok as it is just a path and enough away from edges I was fine with it - would I be able to tackle the Ranger Path from the point of view of anyone who has done this? I've looked online and it looks ok but any scramble or climb would beat me I think
Any help appreciated!

I've always found the Ranger path to be quite full, but the Watkin path is nice.

I did the ranger path last year and loved it. Only one small section felt high, but it was a wide enough path that it didn't feel dangerous. I came down miners and it was a very different story! Also take into consideration where you park your car and how you will get back to it if you go up one and down another. We had to take a half hour taxi back to the car which was a pain when so exhausted!

We did the rangers path a couple of years ago and there is a steep, scramble section. The lower parts are beautiful though so you could always just see how you feel when you get there, you’d still get a fantastic walk out of it even if you turned back before the scramble.

The zigzag part of the rangers is the only bit that could make you wobble but its really fine.

Just be wary of the idiots on it with bikes.

I aint kidding.

Thanks this sounds promising. I can't even comprehend riding a bike down Snowdon...
I've seen photos people have put on internet of Rangers Path so am hopeful will be able to do this and we can always turn back if not happy.

thanks again

You can follow the paths up Snowdon with the google camera to see what it's like. I walked Snowdon twice last year on the computer Grin

I can't remember which tracks they were, but one was beautiful sunshine and the other was a rainy day so I suggest you choose the one with nice weather. Wink
