I’m at home with a rather poorly DS (3) who has a fever thats reducing but will not come right down, regardless of calpol, ibuprofen, stripping etc. - and no other symptoms. Been to the GP. GP says... he’s hot 
and “see how he goes” (in fairness- what else is there to do? He has no obvious ailment beyond... being hot!)
I however have the signs of tonsillitis on the approach and so many immovable deadlines and such an extraordinary amount of work to get through, that I’m working on the sofa whilst Peppa Pig blasts in the background and DS mainlines ice lollies.
I’m a lone parent so there is no option but to WFH, and let Peppa Pig do the entertaining.
My boss is being very understanding, but the understanding is also that I’ll meet these deadlines come hell or highwater- so I’ll have to make up the time however I can, later in the week.
Anyone else having a very “2020 vibes” start to 2020?
