Word for Mac - keeping a table on the same page as a small paragraph - help!

PLEASE will someone help me before I throw the laptop out of the window.

I have a small paragraph and then a table. I am trying to make the table start immediately after the paragraph, but it won't let me - it keeps putting the paragraph on the next page, so it doesn't break the table up.

I want the table to go straight after the paragraph and then run onto the second page (so the table is split) across the two pages.

Please, wise MNetters, help me in my hour of need!

Actually, the table does already break across two pages. Currently the layout is like this:

Page 1 - paragraph
Page 2 - table
Page 3 - end of table

I need:

Page 1 - paragraph
table
Page 2 - end of table

I just can't get the paragraph and table to set next to each other. I've checked and there are no page, line or section breaks.

I worked it out!

For anyone else who needs it:

Highlight the top row of the table > Table Properties > Table tab > Positioning > Check the 'move with text' box > OK > OK

And then happiness will be yours Smile
