I am in West Auckland. I too thought the small spotted kiwis had been trained to hunt for kiwis like a pig for truffles.

I’m not a kiwi but possibly looking at moving to NZ from Australia.

Anyone here in Dunedin? It’s where I might be moving but I don’t know anyone there (crazy I know.)
