What did everyone think of series 2? Particularly of the ending?

I knew Love was fucked up from the first scene with her. She and Joe are perfect for each other in the worst possible way! I really liked the ending because it makes room for the series to continue. Joe just can't shake his demons, can he?

Agree - she just had this intensity about her from the get go! Though I have to disagree, I don't think that they're perfect for each other at all and I think he's only stayed with her to protect their daughter from her. I think their relationship will implode if they do a third series.

My comment about them being perfect for each other was facetious. They are a disaster waiting to happen for a second time.

I think was she revealed her true self, Joe was no longer interested in her but she is having his child so he's staying with her for now. I hope series 3 explores his relationship with his mother and also the Russian guy.

I’m guessing next season he will kill Love at some point while stalking the new neighbour.

Aquamarine1029 · 06/01/2020 00:36

Joe's relationship with Love is definitely on shakey ground, but one fact that makes the dynamic interesting is that Love has been his only ally. She knows all of his dark deeds but they have only endured her to him even more.

I think Joe actually has found love that isn’t obsession in Ellie. He expects nothing from her yet will do anything for her. Yet he has no idea that’s love. (Platonic obviously)

Joe was like that with the kid in his apartment in series 1 that he lent books to.

Also there's plenty of people who know that Joe is a bad 'un but do nothing about it including Will n Dr Nicky alongside Ellie and Love.
