In another life...

...I live in Provence in a gorgeous old farmhouse, which is high spec renovated inside with all mod cons. I float around in casual summer dresses with permanently sun kissed skin and completely hair free on my legs and underarms. I'm an amazing cook. My brood of kids are angelic and I can remember all their names. My hunky toned man is perfect mix of intellectual nerd and sexy beast. I speak fluent french of course and am very knowledgable about wine and cheese. Oh and I can play the guitar! Oh and I have tons of local friends and massive extended family who drop in constantly, which doesn't leave me stressed at all. 😜

I’m thin.

schoolcats · 05/01/2020 21:49

I'm thin
My parents are healthy
I'm living anywhere but here

user1471519931 · 05/01/2020 21:54

Oh yeah, good call - never put on weight!

Sorry about your parents 💐

In another life...

My late DH is alive. We had that third child we wanted because DH didn’t get ill, and our eldest DC doesn’t have any additional needs. We’ve moved just a couple of miles away into the country to a house DH designed, and we keep bees as well as the chickens I have now. I write for a living; he does the job he always did because he liked it.

Just a few years ago most of this was not just planned but likely. Still. Working flipping hard to make life good.

Btw happy to exchange my thinness for bigger breasts 🤣

MellowBird85 · 05/01/2020 22:07

I live in a stately home, all very lady of the manor-esque. I have a butler called Winston whose life’s work is to please me and servants who cook delicious meals and keep everything meticulously clean and tidy as well as a nanny who looks after and entertains the DC (including getting up with them 😬). I spend my days strolling around the beautiful grounds, writing, painting (I’m obvs very talented in these areas) and generally swanning about in a posh frock. In the evening I curl up by the fire sipping wine with a self-satisfied look on my face.

Oh I'm so sorry you lost your DH @tunnocks
Wishing you lots of good luck this year. 💐

I remember all their names really made me laugh!

user1471519931 · 05/01/2020 22:10

@mellowbird that sounds fabulous! Good call on the childcare front. God having a night nanny must be amazing!!! Butler sounds good too 😄

I’m a best selling author who lives a fabulous house by the sea. It’s old but modernised, and I swan about looking great in a long velvet cloak.

UnaCorda · 05/01/2020 22:15

I'm not infertile and terminally single. I have better friends and a nicer boss.

But I'm still slim and good with money.

QueenofLouisiana · 05/01/2020 22:23

I enjoy exercise and do 30 minutes everyday. I’m not allergic to anything and my skin is clear.

DH and I spend more time together during the week, playing tennis or badminton or something before settling down for a drink with other people.

My house is tidy and I’m always totally on the ball with the laundry- there is next a night before super-fast-wash-bung-it-in-the-airing-cupboard event.

QueenofLouisiana · 05/01/2020 22:24

never not next

In my other life, autocorrect is never a bastard either!

Chochito · 05/01/2020 22:24

I have kids and am younger.

Apackoflips · 05/01/2020 22:33

I am a lady who lunches and drive to the lunches in a brand new Audi 2 seater.
Obviously as a LWL I dont work but my private income is more than sufficient for my needs. DH still works so is out of my way most of the day .
My garden is perfectly tended with lush greenery and a perfect lawned area leading to a summer house that catches the sun...erm... perfectly.
I dont cook each day as we prefer to eat out at a selection of nice restaurants that cater for our different tastes. Saves all that thinking ,planning, buying, preparing, cooking, serving, washing up malarky dontchaknow.

I'll go with the bigger breasts too. I'm slim already & I think this is the sacrifice I make.

I winter in Florida, playing golf a couple of times a week with DH. In the spring I spend a fortnight skiing in the Alps with friends, we're all amazing at it & eat & drink well.

I spend summer in the uk catching up with friends who also enjoy Thai food & bubbly wine. All our DHs get on easily & are always happy to meet up. We take long walks which always end at good pubs where there is no need for a table reservation.

DuggeesWoggle · 05/01/2020 22:35

I'm a well established and wealthy textile artist living in the north of Scotland, maybe on an island. Not sure if I have a husband or kids, depends how my real life ones are behaving that day! If I do have kids they magically do all the tedious stuff for themselves and my input is things like beachcombing, stargazing and dolphin watching with them.

Maybe I'm single and will meet a rugged scot with a beautiful West Coast accent and a cable sweater who can teach me Gaelic (among other things Wink)

I've been working on my fantasy life for a while now... My real life is pretty good really but it's nice to run away in my head sometimes Smile

FlorenceKettle · 05/01/2020 22:35

In another life, my parents are still alive, I'm ten years younger and slim and toned . I'm a detective and actually ... that'll do!

Sparklingbrook · 05/01/2020 22:38

I am living in a house overlooking San Francisco Bay and the sun is shining.

Or failing that get the time machine out and I will happily relive the 80s.

wildcherries · 05/01/2020 22:39

No chronic pain (disability), my dad isn't ill, I have a partner. And I finish writing that book.

managedmis · 05/01/2020 22:40

I'm a recently retired Swedish model who has homes in Scotland, New York and Alberta. Spend my days cooking, sleeping with various unsuitable lovers and loving parenting my brood, which obviously includes identical twins. I have a full staff in every household, a tenancy towards skininess and an endearing talent for hygge.

RJnomore1 · 05/01/2020 22:49

So many other lives...

I head up a large international law firm which requires me to wear laboutins and bark important orders. My favourite home is my New York penthouse and I have a treadmill in my office for spare moments.

I live in Italy, speaking fluent Italian and a lovely local family has taken me on as one of their own for long leisurely lively lunches.

As a 9 figure euromillions winner I live on my luxury yacht and follow the sun ....

Ina small midwestern American town, I was a cheerleader in school, now run a small business and live in a column fronted home with a brood of small snub nosed children.

I often think about the many lives I have not lived.

bettybattenburg · 05/01/2020 23:34

I live back home and see the Pacific each morning from my window

JigsawsAreInPieces · 05/01/2020 23:55

Obviously the garden is attached to a massive house backing onto a lake with willow trees dipping into the water

Oops Blush sorry that's my house. It's a lot of work though! Lakes aren't as romantic in autumn and winter when they overflow... and freeze!
