Hey! I took a pregnancy test this morning randomly... I have loads around the house just the cheap ones off ebay and I have a very faint positive line... I don’t want to jump the gun and think I Definately am pregnant but I’ve never had this before it’s the first time I’ve had any type of line. PLEASE HELP

Fingers crossed OP Smile

Runkle · 05/01/2020 21:49

If you can't afford a test then can you afford a baby?

DownWhichOfLate · 05/01/2020 21:49

Do another cheap test now?

How can you afford a baby if you can’t afford a clear blue? Confused

Have you consulted a crystal ball ?

gamerchick · 05/01/2020 21:56

Ask your partner for help buying a reputable test rather than wait a few weeks

Reputable? Are you in about those digital tests that aren't very sensitive and are just an expensive gimmick? I'd hardly say they're reputable and I'd this is a barely there lines there's no way one of those things will pick it up.

Good luck OP.

lauryloo · 05/01/2020 22:05

Do another one and see if there is a line.

When I got my positive on a cheap test I did another just to check

LucaFritz · 05/01/2020 22:09

Just because she's a bit skint after Christmas like we all are doesn't mean she can't afford a baby Hmm everyone falls short between pay now and then Jesus

LivingInATrailer · 05/01/2020 22:11

If you can't afford a pregnancy test how are you going to afford a baby?

Zee234 · 05/01/2020 22:13

It's just been Christmas and I've got no money like a lot of people. Don't worry about it I have supportive family and friends I'm not an idiot I wouldn't attempt to get pregnant if I couldn't afford it!!!

OP posts:
Nicknacky · 05/01/2020 22:17

To be fair, if you have been trying for a baby for 9 months then surely would have been putting money away or spending less at Christmas.

The pregnancy test is the cheapest thing.

LilQueenie · 05/01/2020 22:20

why does everyone say use clearblue at £10 a go? The doctor uses the cheap test strips.

1nsom · 05/01/2020 22:24

I have had loads of 2nd lines on internet cheapies. If it's grey/colourless it'll be an evaporation line. I've had so many. If it has a slight pink tinge to it (or whatever colour the control line of the hpt is) then it'll be a positive!

Do another test and see if the line appears within the 5 min timeframe...

Ale20909 · 06/01/2020 07:45

I have the same!! I wish I can upload a picture but it’s not giving me a option, I took a test Saturday morning 01/04/2020 around 10 am and my test have a very light pink positive line but it started from the top and the whole line was created that was day 8 dpo . I’m so confused 😐 I will be taking another tomorrow morning , Goodluck!!

Ale20909 · 06/01/2020 07:50

The light pink line didn’t finish all the way through *

BananaChocolateLump · 06/01/2020 07:56

I'm sorry OP but if you cant afford a pregnancy test you definitely cant afford a kid Grin

TreeTopTim · 06/01/2020 08:04

My very faint line is lying in my arms as I type.

When I was pregnant I just knew that something wasn't right with my body, I did a first response and it said negative, I then did a few of the urine dip tests that showed faint lines, then I did a clear blue also came back positive.

Have you been tracking your periods etc. Have you missed a period?

QueenOfTheFae · 06/01/2020 08:08

As BananaChocolateLump said

I'm sorry OP but if you cant afford a pregnancy test you definitely cant afford a kid

Even after Christmas, you cant rely on friends and family to pay for your baby

ginandgingers92 · 06/01/2020 08:15

A clear blue digital is good for people struggling to make out a line or interpret a test, because it will just say 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant', no confusion there!
