Horrendously nauseous, is this a virus?

I'm just wondering how long a virus of just sickness will last?!

I just feel incredibly nauseous Sad nothing else, I think I'd actually feel better if I was vomiting. But no, just ridiculously nauseous since last night.

Does a virus making you feel sick need to make you sick (and bring the bad stuff up) before you can feel better?

I'm really struggling and I always think vomiting helps relieve nausea.

Could you be pregnant?

FREEM · 05/01/2020 20:36

it seems differnet from any vomiting virus ive had usually within 6 hrs of nausea the vomiting starts.
Hope you feel.better AsAp

Don't think pregnant - period due tomorrow. Unlikely to get sickness without even being pregnant for 5 mins, surely?!

It is possible. I felt sick from 5 weeks with my twins.

BeeFreeForTea · 05/01/2020 20:41

I would be a lot less than 5 weeks though, not even 4 weeks. Last period was 2nd December

Also not trying for a baby Blush

I had a tummy bug that involved just nausea last Easter. I knew it was a bug because DD was vomiting. I just had nausea and chills, but it was hideous. Huge sympathy.

TwinMum I had HG with DS (vomiting in labour), and I was incredibly unwell on a drip from 6 weeks. Think I first felt ill at about 5 weeks 5 days x

gower Thank you. I too feel a constant chill today. I'm warm now but still feel shaky (I am keeping food down and not cold)

Bloody awful stuff!

Rosie2000 · 05/01/2020 20:47

I had a virus like this e couple of months ago- felt so sick but no vomiting. I felt better after a week or so then it came back for another week. I went to doctor in the end and was given anti sickness medication, that worked well. Hope you feel better soon

NemophilistRebel · 05/01/2020 20:47

My whole family have had the same with the sickness felling with no actual vomiting

BeeFreeForTea · 05/01/2020 20:57

Sorry to anyone's loved ones going through it Thanks

It's truly awful. And I can vouch that they're not overreacting one little bit Sad
