Anyone been to Cesme, Turkey?

Thinking to book a holiday here just because it seems quieter than Antalya/Bodrum. DS has SEN and doesn't do crowds well, I'd be looking to go to the beach a few times so would want a nice clean beach for paddling/swimming but not a Magaluf style sunbeds covering every square inch.
Any advice/recommendations welcome, thanks :-)

Yes - it’s beautiful! We stayed in Alaçati (close by), which is quieter, and drove to Cesme and various places around there. There are plenty of beaches you can drive to and even get a boat to a Greek Island. It’s very easy and safe to drive around there. We went at the end of May and it was very quiet but gets very busy during peak seasons. When are you planning to go?

Thanks @usernamealreadyexists. Wasn't planning on hiring a car so was thinking to stay in Cesme town near the beach and do day trips to Alacati and such. Have driven in Spain, but how did you find driving and parking there? Planning to go end of June for 2 weeks.

Driving was so easy. The motorways out of Izmir to Cesme are wonderful, not crowded, and felt safe. There are lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. If you are planning day trips, a car will be convenient with your DC. My DS doesn’t like crowded places either and really enjoyed our trip there and is desperate to go back. If you both like walking, visit Sirinçe, which is an old village in the mountains. Parking was no problem at all. We had onsite parking at our hotel and it was free or very cheap elsewhere.
