Bullet journal ideas

First time bullet journalling and I'm too scared to put pen to paper, just can't decide what to start with or what to put on the first page.

For anyone who has a bullet journal, what are your essentials to include?

Thanks

Have you watched the proper Ryder Carroll videos on YouTube of how the method is meant to work? It’s a system first and foremost and is only overwhelming if you’re looking at lots of lovely Instagram/Pinterest pictures of what are more art journals than Bullet Journals.

My first page is an Index. Then I have a few overview pages of the year, a monthly set up, and then just lists and collections. Over the years I’ve got simpler and simpler, it’s meant to be functional. I do have a very fancy notebook and some nice pens for colour though Smile

I always love the flexibility of bullet journaling, been doing it for three years now and have found I have worked put what works for me over this time-bit of trial and error with what you bother filling out and what you don't etc!

I do a calendar page for each month, monthly tasks/to do list, mood tracker (per month but track daily) and then pages for long term goals with individual trackers/goals on them. I also do a reflection page at the end of each month about what went well, what didn't go well and why that month.

Oh and an index!

There are loads of really good instagram pages you can follow for ideas!

Thanks, I'll head over to Instagram and have a look. Pinterest is doing my head in!
