Tonight I was reading a bedtime story to my dc, and ds1 (7) said
'Mummy, this story really suits your voice. It makes me feel all warm'

Warm and fuzzy feeling right there!!

Anyone else want to share some lovely things their child has said to start the year 😁

My ds (9) said recently "mum I've always loved you. I could never not love you"

My 21 year old son told me "you're the most likeable person I know" :)

My DS, 11, was watching tv with me on NYE. I was singing along to something on the tv and he turned to me and said, “mum you’ve got a lovely voice” and smiled .

It made my night .

To counter-balance it, he has also tried to 'smooth out my little creases (wrinkles!)' on other occasions 😂😂

I'm a massive eurovision song contest fan and I've been to the live show a number of times now. A couple of years ago when I was off to Lisbon for my euro fix, my dc asks me if I'm going to sing at the contest?!? Made my entire year!

My sons four, well 4.5, he would tell me off for just saying four.

I was listening to him talking to my boyfriend last week and he goes “daddy wasn’t my daddy when I was a baby but he’s better than everyones daddy”.

I normally have a beard, for the last few weeks I’ve just had short stubble so my son said “i like it with a beard because it covers up your face” you have to love a back handed compliment!
