Hi all,

My DP just saw a photo of the two of us during my pregnancy and said 'wow look how slim you were when you were pregnant'. When I was PREGNANT!!! (I'm now 6 months pp and for some reason (greed) am gaining weight rapidly).

My DP really wouldn't have meant anything at all by what he said - I really did lose a lot of weight during pregnancy thanks to having terrible hyperemisis. But it made me think and gave me a moment of realisation that I actually looked far better during pregnancy than I do now. I've gained so much weight and am still wearing loads of my maternity clothes. My tummy is showing no signs of going anywhere, none on my pre pregnancy trousers or jeans fit and I think I still look about 4/5 months pregnant.

I don't know what the purpose of those post is but I really need to sort myself out Sad

I only started losing weight when the baby started sleeping through the night.

Tiredness makes you hungry. Lack of sleep sends your metabolism to shit.

I'm the same but my baby's 15 months Blush he's been sleeping through for 5 months so can't even blame that! I was diabetic when I was pregnant so felt seriously deprived. Once he was born I started eating and didn't stop Shock Trying to low carb but it's so hard!!!

What Pasta said. I was at my heaviest (size 20) two years after having DD. Got my behind into gear and shed a ton of weight, had a blip last year but now back to my best. There is hope but you have to do it when your ready, and rested and have the time.

I'm the same OP and fairy although my babychild is 4 in May.
He's number 3 and the same as fairy I am struggling to lose the weight this time.
I always find I eat more if I'm tired which with a 6 month old you will be.
The key I think is not to beat yourself up or get disheartened but to get determined about sorting it out.
I'm actually taking extreme measures and really cutting the calories for a short while to about 800/900 but I wouldn't recommend it.

I gained after baby and i was breastfeeding. In hindsight i was anaemic and depressed. So had no energy to go walks or cook properly. I lived on take aways, biscuits and tea, cakes, chocolate. I sat so much infront of the tv breastfeeding.i kept thinking how the weight should fall off when breastfeeding and feeling bad about the stone gain. My baby is years older now i have got so fat, 4 more stones gained from pregnancy.

I remember how losing a stone felt like so much. I wish i just had 1stone now!
