Tell me ovulation bleeding is a thing

Short story; am not TTC as we had #3 in May, didn’t bf for long and cycles went back to their trusty 31 days by Sept.

Since having #3 I get pains at ovulation akin to that of a period and this month on CD12 I’ve bled.

Tell me I’m not the only one as I’m a bit freaked out (and scuppered my swimming plans with DD as I was at the pool when I saw it Confused)

Implantation bleeding is a thing. Could you be pregnant?

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 04/01/2020 19:20

Unless it’s an immaculate conception definitely not x

I have pain and minor bleeding during ovulation. It's just a few spots. I know a few friends have similar.

If this happens again next month it might be worth seeing the GP. I did after the first three times, and he said it wasn't outside the realm of normal, but any abnormal for you bleeding should be checked.

My ovulation has definitely been painful like this since I finished having DC and got the copper coil. No mistaking when it happens now!

I get this. I had it last year whilst ttc no2. It stopped then I fell pregnant - I had a mmc in July. My last cycle it did it again so I'm going to the GP this week.

Oh and ovulation is definitely painful since I had DS 3 yrs ago.

I think for me ovulation bleeding (just very light) was actually the first sign of endometriosis/an endometrioma (cyst on ovary due to endometriosis). I mentioned in passing to gp (can't remember context now, may have been discussion of menstrual bleeding relating to anaemia) and they said it's normal (though was new for me), but then a few months later I started to get lots of pain, leading to ultrasound and diagnosis.

How much blood have you lost?

Arrowfanatic · 04/01/2020 19:40

I've had occasions of it, since having child number 3 my ovulation pain are worse than my period pains and they're no fun either.

I mean I’m familiar with “mittelschmerz”; basically German for “pain at ovulation”.

But a bleed? Nope. Bit worried about the endo connection too.
