Recommend me something to fill this space

I was thinking of putting a tv media station thing there. Dh thinks an electric fireplace would be better.

What do you think?

Depends if you would be happy with the tv against the wall or would you prefer it at the angle it is now.

I'm not a fan of electric fires.

bookshelves or sideboard type thing with lamps etc. Not an electric fire.

I would leave the space empty but put a striking picture/print on the wall.

Where the telly is is fine but the sofa could do with not being so close to the wall.

Corner sofa or a pouffe and then art on the wall

A wide bookcase with a tray of candles/rechargeable candles on the top for cosiness at night, and some nice art on the wall. I would also paint the wall either a deep green or deep red to warm the room up.
