Ultrasound shows empty womb, ectopic ?

I have pcos so have an erratic cycle but with tracking etc I should be around 7 weeks. I’ve had the sore boobs for a while and tiredness etc and the last week or so have been very crampy with some right sided pain. My first positive was Christmas Eve although did have a very faint line weeks before. At the hospital they did a scan because of the one sided pain and the sonographer said she saw no evidence of pregnancy and I may be earlier. They have taken bloods and are repeating on Sunday, on the way home I picked up a clear blue week detector which showed me at 2-3 weeks, it says this means 4-5. At 4-5 would atleast a sac not be showing ? She did say it may be too early and didn’t mention finding an ectopic indication but the lady on the desk said it could still be. Got myself so upset does anybody have good outcomes from similar experiences ? Thanks

I had an ultrasound at 8wk 6 days, which wasn't able to "see" anything, so had to have an internal scan. FX for you.

Do you know the blood hcg result?
Over 1000-2000, you could expect to see something on an (internal) scan. So, if you aren't quite as far on as you think, it could just be too early.
Fingers crossed for a big uplift in blood results on Sunday.

they wouldn’t tell me the results of tonight’s just said they won’t be able to tell me anything until Sunday when they repeat blood work. I had some awful cramps last week back and front but nothing since. No bleeding, cervix closed etc. X

You need to ask for an internal.scan.
Third pregnancy was suspected ectopic as positive test but nothing showing on ultrasound, they were ready to do a laparoscopy and I begged them to do internal scan, and they found healthy pregnancy sac, DS is 8 in April.

I had an early scan and nothing showed at 4/5 weeks.
At 7 weeks they said the sac seemed empty and I was to return 2 weeks later and only then could they see the heartbeat and he was fine.
I’ve also had an ectopic previously, I was scanned early due to severe back pain and bleeding and I remember she printed off absolutely loads of pictures and got another doctor before doing an internal scan to confirm the ectopic, I was then admitted immediately.
If they suspected one I’m surprised they sent you away if I’m honest as they are very dangerous if left.

I had an empty sac at eight weeks on an internal scan, they are now 16.
