Boring one - boiler care cover

We have used British Gas for the last few years and had an annual service as part of the plan, but the renewal has come through and the price has shot up. Just looking for some recommendations on boiler cover, if you are with British Gas and think the service is worth the money? Or if you are with another company & would recommend them?

We had British Gas and then stopped and went with a local company in a bid to save money.
Fast forward several years and the boiler stopped working and I called British Gas out and the boiler was condemned! It was December! They quoted for a new one and I have stuck with British gas ever since Wink

Just moved and had new boiler fitted with British gas. Expensive but I think worth it based on my experience. Sad

Same happened to me but I rang them and renegotiated. It's basically like an Insurance policy so you can negotiate the price but obviously it will rise as your boiler gets older. However it has been worth every penny to me as various call outs they have been brilliant

Ring them. They just about halved my quote.

Do not go with 247 home rescue. We had them on our rental falt and they refused to even come out. I'm with Corgi. They are great

@whyhaveidonethis I looked at the corgi one, it's around the same price as British Gas but they're doing an offer with amazon vouchers so will look into that further. Thanks

Sometimes if you cancel the cover and then set it up again it can be cheaper 😉

Staying at my I-Ls in Kent. Heating stopped working on New Years Day. They’re with Swale Heating, ( not sure if it’s nationwide).
Rang them about 7.30 pm. Heating engineer arrived around 9pm. Heating fixed by 10pm.
