I need Alexa & spotify help please

For some reason, Alexa will play music from Spotify on two of our devices, but not the third which is the one that dd1 wants to play it on (in her bedroom) Confused

Can someone help me work out why? I've been through the settings but am not seeing a reason for it not to be working

HELP! Before she comes and plays Panic At The Disco or Taylor Swift in my nice and peaceful living room please!

Does the app which has spotify logged in also have her device on it?

Yep, her phone has the Alexa app & Spotify on it. Mine just has the Alexa app but the downstairs dot will play Spotify & hers won't (but did yesterday) Confused

Is her Alexa on the same Amazon account as the other two?

Is the Spotify the full-fat Premium license?

I've got five Echos and they all run fine - they're all on one Amazon account, and all play from one Spotify Premium account.

Is anyone else streaming from the spotify account at the same time? I think you can only stream one device at a time

All three are on the same Amazon account (mine).

Spotify is Premium (for the moment at least - we have a trial of Amazon music running too so I need to look at which would be cheaper to use with several devices)

& no, no-one is streaming from it at the moment. Dd2's got Alexa telling her jokes/singing her own songs/farting and meow-ing Hmm; and I'm downstairs with the tv on but not playing music.

I can't work it out at all!

Dd suggested maybe we'd set up a preferred speaker or multi-room but we've checked & they're not set up.

Inspired by the Youtube thread; I had a look on Youtube. It suggests deregister then re-register the device.

Hmm, well, sitting the phone practically on top of the dot worked to connect it to that one for the moment. Whether it carries on working tomorrow remains to be seen Hmm

In the Alexa App go to Play then scroll to the bottom and click on Manage your Services. Then go to Default Services.
