How long for antibiotics to kick in

Almost 2yo with a chest infection.

Seems worse today (second day of full dose) than the day I took her (31st Dec)

I'll pop her back to Dr tomorrow but wondering if 48h of a 5 day course means we should have seen an improvement?

My son had antibiotics just before Xmas. They started working almost as soon as he started taking them. (Had been waking at night for a week, first night of antibiotics slept through). So I’d go back to GP if I were you.

The third day usually.
If she's not feeling better tomorrow then I'd take her back.
Antibiotics can have side effects too that make you feel unwell, so make sure it's not that.

It's usually the 3rd day.
