St Albans

We're vaguely considering a move from North London to St Albans in the next year or so. Has anyone made a similar move and would you mind sharing your experiences? We'd be commuting into London so any views on transport (I know the train gets busy!) and where to live would be great. We don't have kids at the moment but we would like to start a family soon. Thanks!

we have lived in st albans and loved it. most areas are nice, and the trains to london are fine, although busy like you said. you could also have a look at London Colney (there is a bus from there to st albans station, takes around 20 mins), where you have London Colney Primary and then Samuel Ryder Secondary (both good schools). hope this helped a little x
