Fabletics?

Does anyone use Fabletics? I like some of their leggings but it seems if you’re not a member they are a lot mire expensive! How does it work? For paying the monthly membership would it not work out the same wether you’re a member or not?! Confused

It's a subscription service so you get cheaper leggings by registering but then each month you either go onto your account each month to opt out or they debit your bank account with £40odd and add it to your fabletics account to be spent on their merchandise. Or you can register, get your cheap leggings then cancel the membership

Palmreader · 02/01/2020 13:12

It's a bit of a con TBH. Subscription charged every month and a nightmare to get out of.

BloodyCats · 02/01/2020 13:15

Just go to Tesco and get some of their leggings. Much cheaper and no subscription.

I looked at them but the idea of having to subscribe to buy leggings is batshit. I ordered some from Adidas instead!

I think the business model is mad. I've got three pair of running leggings. I've had them well over five years. The are still in great condition. I can't imagine being in a situation where I would need a subscription for gym kit!Confused

Sherloidbaisherloid · 02/01/2020 15:12

I know that’s what I was thinking! Seems a bit strange, just ordered some from next instead. I just liked the Colours and patterns of the fabletics ones

They are brilliant leggings. Never lose stretch, massively flattering, not see through. Lovely.

However I don't need leggings every month! I joined the first time , ordered the leggings then cancelled the membership once they arrived. The phone call took 4 mins. Then my nieces loved my leggins so much I rejoined for Xmas, (different email!) ordered again and then cancelled membership again

It's annoying as they aren't worth what you'd pay full price BUT they are much better than normal next or Tesco and a lot cheaper than lulumon. Quality is really good.

MadisonMontgomery · 02/01/2020 15:31

It’s rubbish, the stuff isn’t really very good quality at all. I got 2 pairs of leggings for I think £24? Okay for that price, but definitely not for the price you would pay after the trial.

Gigitree · 02/01/2020 15:43

I love my leggings form fabletics - they're the best quality I've come across where you don't have to pay silly prices. Yes you have to become a VIP (subscription) member to get the discounts, but it's so easy to either just 'skip the month' each month that you don't want to buy anything (you can do this for months at a time, there is no limit, you just have to skip by the 5th of the month, but you get an email reminder) or just call up and cancel. I really don't get why people get so worked up about the subscription thing!

Sherloidbaisherloid · 02/01/2020 16:49

So with the membership you can join and order the leggings then cancel straight away without actually paying the fee at all?

OP posts:
dementedpixie · 02/01/2020 16:52

It does say you can cancel at any time but I think you have to phone them to cancel

TimeToGetMeBack · 02/01/2020 16:53

If you're looking for patterned or bright leggings, look at Lucy Locket Loves or Tikiboo. LLL have phone pockets too (their active ware range). ASDA are good for plain black long lasting and also have a phone pocket on them.

Gigitree · 02/01/2020 17:14

@Sherloidbaisherloid yes you can cancel anytime.

You don't get charged a 'fee' you only pay the £40 per month when they send you your outfit choices and you don't a) pick something or b) skip the month.

You can either phone up to cancel or I think you can use their online chat thing to cancel.

Walnutblossom · 02/01/2020 17:17

Fabletics leggings can very occasionally be found at TK Maxx.

SmellMySmellbow · 02/01/2020 17:21

Yep I've bought several items. I got the 2 for £24 leggings and liked them, got some tops and sports bras in the sale (skipped the monthly subscription and just paid for the items I wanted) then cancelled my membership easily on live chat. It's not a con, it's easy to understand, just read the website. The one criticism I have is the returns/exchanges which takes weeks.
