Have you ever seen a reverse?

Gets mentioned all the time, as in 'is this a reverse'?

I've never seen one in all my years here. Not once.

Have you? Can you link to one?

I think it's a MN urban myth

They should be banned.

It would stop all of the:

Is this a reverse?
I call reverse.
This must be a reverse.

My biggest pet hate on this forum is people suggesting 'reverse' Angry

FenellaVelour · 02/01/2020 13:49

Pretty sure there’s one going in AIBU now.
I’ve seen quite a few.

IdleBet · 02/01/2020 13:50

Even worse when they chip in 'It must be a reverse!!!' when it's something simple like my dog ate the hamster.

It's like a competition to be the first poster to 'call reverse' when the topic hasn't got anything to suggest an alternative frigging side!!

Likethebattle · 02/01/2020 13:51

I’ve seen a couple.

Ninkanink · 02/01/2020 13:53

Yes I’ve seen quite a few.

Don’t have links though.

Sgtmajormummy · 02/01/2020 13:56

Lots of AIBU reverses I’ve seen are written from the (male) partner’s point of view and the written style is very feminine with great use of adjectives, adverbs and feelings descriptors to describe quite boorish behaviour.

The contradiction sets my radar off. But I don’t comment, just move on.

oldsizenines · 02/01/2020 14:08

Haha! Thanks for the explanation. I get it. Love the Charlie Chaplain example 😂😂

SilverySurfer · 02/01/2020 15:29

I've seen loads and they are really irritating - I always leave the thread once it's discovered to be a reverse.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 02/01/2020 16:06

I've seen a few, yes. A lot of them are MIL ones!

IvinghoeBeacon · 02/01/2020 20:12

IdleBet they are banned in the sense that MNHQ often delete them!

KenAdams · 02/01/2020 21:09

@Soontobe60 it was a recent one - a MIL one I think. Loads of people asked if it was a reverse and she said no but then eventually owned up Hmm

ChicCroissant · 02/01/2020 21:18

I thought they were deleted by MN immediately, so possibly not many examples around at all (and quite rightly). They are so obvious though! The OP thinks they are a genius by doing it and can't see why people get irate.
