New year resolutions in action

I hope no one minds but sometimes I need some accountability.

This year I have made a couple of new year resolutions. I don't normally bother and I think it would be helpful to log my progress. It would be wonderful to have some others join me.

  1. Get organised. I used to be the queen of organisation. I mean I used to line up outfits for work in my wardrobe with undies hanging on the hangers too type organised. I want that back. The last ten years have been chaotic and I hate it. So one step at a time I'm going to get my favourite part of me back.
  1. Get healthy. Exercise 3 x per week. Eat real food. Stop making excuses and just get off my arse and do it.
  1. Stop being afraid to say no. My Moto used to be ' you can't please everyone, so you might as well just please yourself'. I've lost that and I don't like the person it makes me. I want the confident ballsy woman back.

Damn, hit post to soon.

The idea is I do one thing to work towards the me I want to be each day and log it.

Day 1

  1. I listed all the family birthdays and pre ordered birthday cards. Ordered a family organiser to keep track of birthday and Christmas gifts.

Updated my online and paper diary with important dates.

  1. Walked the dog twice for 30 minutes each time.
  1. Refused to see a potential client while I'm off work. It's not an urgent one, it can wait until next week. If that's a problem then the client can't respect my boundaries so the relationship won't work.

Day 2.

  1. Tidied the ironing pile and started sorting the sock mountain. Did 4 loads of laundry and bought some bin bags to start getting rid of stuff. Taking the decorations down next as cleaner in tomorrow morning.
  1. 2 dog walks so far, will do a third soon. Stuck to low carb all day and have dinner in the slow cooker with tomorrow's dinner all prepped in the fridge.
  1. Changed my nail appointment! Sounds silly but I've always been super flexible and the time didn't suit anymore so called and changed it!!

Day 3

  1. Bagged up 3 bags of old clothes to drop at charity shop tomorrow. Tidied for cleaners coming.
  1. 4 x 25 minutes walks with dog. Didn't sleep last night so food was awful.
  1. Not so much a no as a I will murder you if you ask what's for tea!!

  1. A couple of dog walks and bought loads of stuff at Costco so I can batch cook tomorrow.
  1. No need today, it's been a nice day!!
