Moving Countries or Getting a house near family

My husband and I have 4 kids and are currently expecting twins. At the moment we're renting but have just saved enough for our own place.

We both work in the medical profession so can always find work and realised that we could either buy a huge house & garden in New York or a much smaller place in outer London right near my family. We're really torn as the bigger place would be great for the kids and pets but we're worried it would leave us isolated and that we'd struggle without family and friends. Any advice would be really great.

That's quite an extreme pair of options, outer London or New York. Nothing in between?

Would you not need to go through qualifying exams in the US?

I’d always say near family and friends, also won’t you need to do your usmle? Or do you mean near York?
