What things did you not get to do before the decade ended?

Let me start off by apologising for possibly coming across as a bit of a Debbie downer in this post Blush. It's not meant in that way but some people might be triggered by what people post, so do be cautious Flowers.

I see so many posts and threads (here and social media) about all the lovely things people have achieved in the last 10 years, which is obviously great to see. I have definitely had my share of joy and am grateful for the positives.

But looking back, especially over the last 3 or so years, there's just loads of things I never got round to doing or didn't achieve, or tried and failed at. I'm sure you have things too you wanted to happen but didn't, I thought we could maybe make a thread about it and have a wee moan about it before buckling up and getting on with life again Grin. They can be huge things or even the most tiniest, mundane things!

I'll start.

  • I have had weight and food issues all my life. So many times I have lost and gained the weight back. I've been to counselling to try and address why I am like this, but so far have not managed to get a grip on it.
  • We starting redecorating our living room about a year and a half ago and it still isn't finished!

-Kept meaning to stop being a pushover. It never happened, and probably never will Blush

-Didn't get my wedding dress cleaned (the bottom of it got filthy) and I got married over 3 years ago!

  • Also, never got round to making a wedding album with all our pictures.
  • Never retrained in anything different, or got deeply involved with any of my hobbies. Never developed any skills outside of my professional role.
  • And the one that is a bit raw and painful, never became a mum (yet).

There's still time to sort all these things out (or keep attempting to) of course, I don't believe in all that new year new me shit. Just wanted to be realistic with myself and thought it might be an interesting thread. Please feel free to share if you want Smile
