Can someone tell me how to "drop in on..." from my phone,please?

I've tried talking to the app on my phone (dd1 laughed at me ), and I've tried selecting dd2 to "drop in on..." but it says she's not available (it's definitely on upstairs).

Anyone able to tell me what I'm missing to be able to do it from my phone?

Do you mean on an Amazon echo?

If so

1. go into the Alexa app
2. Go to 'communicate' at the bottom
3. Select 'drop in'
4. Choose who or which room to drop in on!

That's what I've been doing but it tells me whichever one I want to communicate with is unavailable (but if I walk into the kitchen & randomly drop in on one of the girls to see if it's broken, it works from the device itself

That's where I was looking Glummy. It says they're not available when I select one of the other dots.

It's fine, shouting from the bottom of the stairs works equally as well, just isn't so enthusiastically met as a random greeting from Alexa that tells them to shift and get sorted for bed

I also say "Alex announce.........." and that works

It'll do announce! Just not the drop in. Dd1 was a bit put out last night when I announced bed time but only actually meant it for dd2.
