We got NT membership for Xmas and it kicks in tomorrow! I'm really excited and want to use it to the full! Where are your favourite NT places?

I'm in the South West but would like to use it as a tool to plan weekends away/visit friends etc too!

Waddesdon near Aylesbury, a cut above your average NT place.

Also Cliveden near Maidenhead is lovely too.

Waddesdon is lovely. Lovely roses in June and gorgeous at christmas. My other favourite is calke abbey which has been purposely left distressed.

We went to Blickling Hall in north norfolk today. Which was good. I also love oxburgh hall and the vyne.

Hardwick Hall...but I have a soft spot for Baddesley Clinton. I had a birthday card with a picture of it on when I was 14 and I loved it. Thirty years later I finally managed to see it and it is beautiful. I also love Kinver Edge because it's so unusual (but tiny).

If you've got kids then Belton House is amazing - apart from the house and beautiful gardens there is a fantastic outdoor adventure playground with mini railway plus indoor soft play for toddlers too.

You could easily spend a whole day at Belton and not do it all.
