We have friends over for New Year’s Eve so DH is cooking

Lamb in red wine, roast potatoes, green beans, peas

Chocolate tart and whiskey cream

Plenty of wine and champagne of course

Mmmm, yum!

I’ve got a large pulled pork going in the slow cooker. Brioche rolls, salad etc. Just there for people to help themselves to when hungry.
Lots of champagne, prosecco, gin with various tonics...

Happy New Year!!

I'm so hungry but have had a dodgy tum for the past few days so I'm going to have to keep it light. I'm thinking plain chicken and rice.

The Lamb and the Pulled Pork sounds amazing. I will treaf myself when im feeling better.

Enjoy your evenings, and Happy New Year!

Just the two of us, and DH is in the pub for another hour - there's a chicken curry waiting for him when he gets back, with naan bread and poppodoms, pickles and chutneys. Hoping to follow with vanilla ice cream and peaches in Courvoisier, but not entirely sure we'll have room! Shloer White Bubbly to celebrate, as I stopped drinking alcohol 2 months ago today (and gave up smoking 3 months ago today). Yippee. (I almost sounded enthusiastic there for a moment!)
