not leaving EU

Does anyone else think Brexit, Boris, Corbyn etc is all a game they're playing with us?
Anyone else get the sneaking suspicion we won't leave the EU?
Let's face it when it comes down to The Rothschilds, Vanderbilts and the other ones with the money, we don't control anything.

I think you are in a minority of 1 there, OP. The UK is leaving the EU.

JazzyJelly · 31/12/2019 17:17

I wish I could believe we weren't, but unfortunately I think it's a done deal now.

grafittiartist · 31/12/2019 17:30

I have said all along that we won't leave. It's all too complicated!!
But I fear that it is wishful thinking. 🤞

What, they're going to turn around and tell us the last few years were all a dream? Or some sort of prank?!?

bettybattenburg · 31/12/2019 17:33

Wishful thinking perhaps OP?

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 31/12/2019 17:34

It’s a nice thought, but I’m afraid we’ll be leaving.

user1497207191 · 31/12/2019 17:35

We'll leave but there'll be years of untangling re laws etc. For the first few months, perhaps even years, there'll be little obvious difference, but as time passes, we'll diverge away, bit by bit.

SerendipityJane · 31/12/2019 18:13

in the absence of any single accepted definition of what leaving looks like (because unlike any commercial venture, the Great British Public has never been told "what success looks like") it's interesting to speculate.

Are there any definitive statements about what "leaving" means. I don't mean soundbites, but something people can actually take to the bank ?

I certainly know one person who won't be satisfied we have left until we start selling petrol in gallons again. That is their only measure. They don't care about trade, courts, freedom of movement.

This was always going to be the problem. Luckily we have an honest, straight talking Prime Minister, otherwise the scope for whiff-whaffery would be enormous.

WrongKindOfFace · 31/12/2019 18:27

Unfortunately we will be leaving. Would be nice if anyone had half a clue what that actually meant, but it seems that we have over 17 million different versions of leave.

Ollypollydolly · 31/12/2019 18:28

I don’t understand why you think that OP

Johnson will pivot to a BRINO.
