Not resolutions as such, but what will you change or hope to achieve in 2020?

I hate the “resolutions” thing as it feels really faddy and they (often) get dropped by end of January.

But what changes will you make next year, or what do you hope to achieve?

For me it’s

  • need to get confident driving again - book some lessons
  • not a diet, but focus on healthier eating and lifestyle, including learning to cook new meals
  • make time for myself, in particular exercise. Hard with a toddler and I work too, but must make an effort with this.
  • put phone down. Read actual books. Be more present and enjoy time with my toddler, not be looking at my phone.
  • sort out my photos as I’ve loads that aren’t backed up and would be lost if I lost my phone

I have suffered from anxiety for years, and I have vowed that this is the year I will kick it.

To do that, I have quit a hobby for a while, as I felt that was giving me too much to do. Hopefully I will go back to it at some point. I have taken up some different hobbies, and got a swimming membership at a gym.

I am going to fill the year with healthy food and activities, and positive meetings with my family (which have been lacking due to parental split).

I’m just going to try to avoid all the illnesses that I seem to be prone to. Every cold / cough etc I seem to catch. Life would be easier if I was well.

I’m seeing a solicitor on 2nd Jan to start talking about divorce.

I’m going to try and tweak my schedule so that I’m around a bit more and able to focus on the teenagers in the evenings when they are supposed to be doing homework/revision. I need to work out how to do this without losing the exercise habit I’ve successfully instigated over the past couple of years.

And I’ll restart yoga.
